“What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls a butterfly.”

-Richard Bach

The purpose of the series is not to make images that makes us feel “happy”…they are not “feel good” pieces.  It is my hope that they help us reflect…

Thank you Ashley Hernandez for helping poor children in Honduras through the purchase of this piece!

Wings of Hope Series- First piece

Wings of Hope-1

8×10         Pen & Water Color

“There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it’s going to be a butterfly” -Richard Buckminster

This is my first finished piece for my “Wings of Hope” series that I am making to help raise $12,000 to sustain 8 feeding centers in Honduras, which feed more than 1000 children in poverty.

The series “Wings of Hope” will consist of art pieces that portray poor children with butterfly wings. Each piece will be made with pen and watercolor. However, most of it will be black and white and the only colored part will be on a section of the child’s wing.

In an ideal world, every child would have bright colorful wings; but that is not the reality in which we live in. There are millions of children whose childhood and hope have been stolen…their wings are black and white.

We might not be able to give them their childhood back, but we can give them hope of a better future.

Thank  you Dan and Holly Williams! Your purchase of this piece will give children in Honduras color to their wings!
